Gamestop Expo 2012: New Super Mario Bros. U for Wii U First Look and Rev...

I got to check out New Super Mario Bros. U for Wii U at the Gamestop Expo 2012. This was a very cool game, it plays just like the previous New Super Mario Bros. series games, but there are a few new things in it. Check it out.

New Super Mario Bros. U iterates on the gameplay featured in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The objective of each level is to reach the goal flag at the end while avoiding enemies and hazards. The game features four playable characters: Mario, Luigi, two colored Toads (Blue Toad and Yellow Toad), in addition to Mii characters saved on the console. New Super Mario Bros. U is played either by using the Wii Remote or the Wii U GamePad, which allows the player to view the action occurring on the television screen on the controller's touch screen.
In multiplayer, up to four players play simultaneously using Wii Remotes, but an additional (fifth) player may participate using the Wii U GamePad. The additional player does not control a character, but instead has the ability to assist the other players by manipulating the level: the player can create new item boxes and stun enemies by tapping various areas on the touch screen.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Zombiu for Wii U First Look and Review! | 8-Bit Eric

I got to check out Zombii U for the Wii U at the Gamestop Expo 2012!

Zombii U is a very graphic and spooky survival horror first person shooting type of game and I am totally excited about it.

The Wii U gamepad feels perfect for this game and they implemented several great details for it.

The player controls a random survivor who must attempt to survive a zombie apocalypse running amuck in London. The game is controlled using the Wii U GamePad, which has various context sensitive uses such as assisting in aiming certain weapons and unlocking doors. It's most common use is to access the survivor's 'Bug-Out Bag', which is used to store various items and weapons, although the player is vulnerable whilst attempting to access his/her bag.

If a player is killed by a zombie, which can occur with a single bite from them, their character will permanently die and the player will then take on the role of a new survivor. But, if the player has a shot of Virucide, the survivor will inject the Virucide into the zombie, therefore killing it and sparing the survivor. The previous character then becomes a zombie which the player can defeat to retrieve any items or weapons their bag contained. The game will also feature online multiplayer, with friends alerted of a player's death so they may try and obtain their gear

Gamestop Expo 2012: Legend of Zelda Battle Quest - Nintendo Land First L...

Hey everybody this is 8-bit Eric checking out Nintendo land - The Legend of Zelda Battle Quest at Gamestop Expo 2012

The game uses two wii remote players and a gamepad player
The player with the gamepad shoots arrows while the two remotes control swords.
The objective of the game is for the team to make it through the levels by killing enemies and solving puzzles such as hitting switches to open gates and more.

It is a fun little game, and while it isnt a zelda game it still captures the same similar game play and wii motion controls that the last couple zelda games captured.

Be careful however, the first player to die causes the whole team to lose.. just like i happened to do for my time.

Nintendo land continues to showcase neat little minigames and this is definitely another reason why this game is going to be one to check out.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Luigi's Ghost Mansion - Nintendo Land for Wii U - F...

I got a chance to try out this mini-game at Gamestop expo 2012 and I was really impressed.

In this game, 4 people use the Wii Remote to search and defeat a ghost. The ghost is being controlled by the player with the Wii U Game Pad and the ghost must defeat all of the other players to win.

Me and Carey Martell "The RPG Fanatic" decide to take a break from covering the Gamestop Expo 2012 and try out luck at playing The Hip Hop Experience for Kinect.

Gamestop Expo 2012: WWE '13 First Look and Review!

I had the chance to check out the THQ Booth at the Gamestop Expo 2012 and saw the wwe title, Also, Dolph ziggler was in attendance to great fans and yes, I got his autograph as wellbut most importantly was me trying out the new WWE'13 game.

I played the xbox 360 demo and i must say wrestling games have come a long way. All the action in the ring looked as real as ever and the control was surprisingly easy, the animation was smooth and this game reminded me like the old Nintendo 64 games, it felt that solid in my opiniongranted i didnt know how to perform most of the moves, but there is a little icon that pops up when you can perform special attacks and signature moves.

I've heard lots of things about this game, from attitude era features/storylines and more to be added via DLC.
THQ didn't pull the stops with WWE 13

Gamestop Expo 2012: Skylanders Giants First Look and Review!

Activision had an awesome Skylanders Giants exhibit at the expo, and featured everything from a huge Skylander Giant statue to even showing off some of the upcoming toys for the game!

But the main reason why I wanted to check out the exhibit was
to get my hands on the brand new Skylanders game and play it for myself!

The game played exactly the same as the first game, and didn't feel like there was much new to it besides the new characters.

The demo I played felt a little laggy, and I hope the final version doesn't experience the lag. Other than that the graphics, enemies and sound were all pretty much the same as the first game.

The new characters I played were all awesome and had great attacks, so any Skylander fan will be happy to know that these characters are able to jump right in and start gaining levels.

I for one am excited about this upcoming game, even though this cash cow is gonna be expensive with the amount of new characters coming out, it is still going to be a great game and I am looking forward to it.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Epic Mickey 2 First Look and Review!

Gamestop Expo 2012: Epic Mickey 2 First Look and Review!

The demo I played the xbox 360 version. I never played the first epic mickey game, but luckily I managed to play a few minutes of the sequel at the Gamestop expo.

From what I saw, it definitely plays solid. reminds me of other solid platformers such as Super Mario 64.

The graphics are great and they capture the disney charm and are extremely detailed and colorful.

I didn't get to play much of this game so I cant describe much else beyond what i saw.

However it did peak my interest enough to make me want to play not just Epic Mickey 2 but the original as well.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Nintendo Land for Wii U - Takamaru's Ninja Castle F...

Nintendo Land: Takamaru's Ninja Castle

One of the mini games featured on the upcoming game for Nintendo Land on the Wii U.

It took me a while to get used to how to slide my finger across the screen to shoot the ninja stars.

However, the control was easy to pick up, you tilt the gamepad to aim and u just simply slide your finger across the screen.

I was killing little ninjas in no time flat.

This game reminded me of duck hunt, as in that it was basically made to showcase the screens abilitys while being a fun little game.

The graphics of course were cartoony like wii sports, wii play and others, but it was done with the kind of nintendo charm and was perfect for the game.

Nintendo land's intent is to show off all the features of the gamepad and i feel that Nintendo Land: Takamaru's Ninja Castle and is a great addition and nice mini game to include on the game.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 First Look and Review!

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was a fun game, i am still kind of new to the tekken scene having only played the first two games, but this one caught my attention rather quickly, and it wasnt because of the booth babes near by.

The graphics and gameplay were very seamless, and this felt like the type of old school fighting game style that i enjoy. i feel that this type of fighting game has changed in favorite of 3d fighting titles and i am glad that tekken tag tournament has a nostalgic smash mouth in your face vibe

This being the ps 3 demo version there wasnt much options to chose from but i can see that this game is definitely going to be a big time contender when it comes out.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Batman Arkham City Armored Edition for Wii U First L...

I got the chance to check out Armored Edition at the Gamestop Expo. Arkham City Armored Edition was a game that I was excited to try out. I never played the original Arkham City and the fact that it was finally going to be on a Nintendo System got me jumping for joy.

The graphics of course are great and the game's atmosphere felt perfect plus The fighting system felt natural and I really felt like batman.

The new B.A.T. mode felt pretty bad ass added some extra fun while kicking some ass.

The wii u controller felt comfortable during the majority of my gameplay

However, I kept getting confused switching my attention from the wii u game pad screen to the television screen and at times I would get disoriented when switching items and weapons and would often press the wrong item.

Luckily i had someone there to guide me through the tutorial which also showcased how to utilize the screen's features correctly and i soon picked it up quickly. and i became very impressed with the game.

Bottom line, after some practice this game demo, it began to show the games true potential and will definitely be a must buy for the Wii u.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Pikmin 3 for Wii U First Look and Review!

I got the chance to check out the upcoming Pikmin 3 game for the Wii U by Nintendo.

For this video I am going to talk about the upcoming Pikmin 3 game for the Wii-U

This is actually my first time playing a Pikmin game, so I couldn't tell you what is new or different about this game, however i found it rather interesting. The Wii U controller acts as a map screen, while you play the game with the wii remote, so its pretty easy to control.

Now the demo i played was a boss fight where you control red pikmin and rock Pikmin,

It took me a while to figure out what to do, but for the most part there was nothing really new or innovative about this title, other than the fact that there was different types of Pikmin in this game.

But then again i havent really played Pikmin games before to give it something to compare to.

Perhaps when the final product is out i will have a better judgement in regards to this game, for now i will say it didn't wow me at all.. hope there is vast improvement in the final product.

Gamestop Expo 2012: Dragonball Z for Kinect First Look and Review!

I got the chance to check out the upcoming Dragonball Z game for the Kinect at the Gamestop Expo 2012.
<---More--->
Dragon Ball Z For Kinect is a Dragon Ball Z video game for the Xbox 360's Kinect. Published by Namco Bandai Games and developed by Spike ChunSoft.

I am not familar with Kinect so I had a little trouble to start off with but once i got the hang of it it was pretty neat. Once I got past my own unathletic abilities, I realized that for a demo, this game played rather solid.

First of all, the graphics looked great, and the game play was like budakai with no hands with a first person perspective, also the game progresses on rails following routes during the match. The thing about it, is you do look kind of silly trying to do the moves but when you pull them off it feels pretty awesome.

Some neat things is the fact that to charge is you actually get into a fighting stance to charge your power, which can increase to a variety of attacks that lead up to your characters finishing move and theres even a combo system integrated into the movements, which looks like a great addition to the game.

DBZ has always been one of my favorite anime series of all time and i think the concept for this game is great. The game will be released on October 2, 2012 in Europe and October 31, 2012 in the U.S.

I went to Insert Coins Video Game Arcade Bar Tour (Las Vegas) with NESComplex and Gamester81. This place was amazing, I have never been at a barcade and it more than met my expecations. Tons of games that I loved to play, several classics like Donkey Kong, Tron, Street Fighter II and more!

They also had several consoles, tables and televisions set up through out the venue that make the place feel like something new, yet come along with the retro arcade experience.

There also was a huge abundance of women in there, which was unexpected. So ladies this place is for you as well.
